Long Beach Seafood Restaurant @ East Coast Parkway

The birthday boy had a craving for chili crab and thus, he suggested Long Beach Seafood Restaurant to celebrate his birthday.

Cripsy Duck - one of Long Beach's signature dish.  This was really nice.
  The fish wasn't very good.
Long Beach's famous Chili Crab!  It had been quite a while that I had not eaten chili crab already.  Definitely must order the fried mantou which will go well with the sweet and mildly spicy chili crab!
Black Pepper Crab
Personally, I prefer the black pepper crab to the chili crab.
How do you all find the design of the napkin packaging?  I find it not appropriate as it seems a bit "sleazy", call me conservative. :P
An almost full moon on the night we were there.

Hill Street Char Kway Teow @ Bedok South Food Centre

Recently, I have grown an interest to search for "old taste" at the various hawker centres in Singapore.  I will definitely love to join any hawker food trails if any.  We made an impromptu decision last weekend to drive over to Bedok South Food Centre for lunch.  I remembered that we could find this famous Hill Street Char Kway Teow stall at this food centre and went to check out the stall immediately.  To my relief, there was a queue but not too long to dissuade me from queuing (We were there at around 11am, before the peak hour).  The last time when I was here, the queue was much longer and I was too hungry to queue for it.

Thus, this was my first plate of Char Kway Teow from this famous stall.  It might have failed badly in terms of presentation, but this $3 plate of yummy Char Kway Teow came with eggs, medium-sized cockles, sausages, bean sprouts and of course, the crispy, crunchy lards that were fried together with the flat noodles.   Yes, you can't escape from LARD here, it enhances the flavour of the Char Kway Teow!
Ok, before I started eating, I rearranged them a bit more to the centre.  Haha.....
You won't miss this stall with the bright yellow signboard and with an almost perpetual queue most of the time.

Legoland Malaysia (Part II)

IMAGINATION

We queued for the 4D movie and we watched the movie "Racers".  However, the show was quite boring and the seats didn't even move.
 LEGO KINGDOM
The Dragon
This is really not for the faint-hearted!
There is another dragon ride - The dragon's apprentice, which is said to be a milder version of this.

Hubby held my hand and brought me up here.  I knew this was for the roller coaster ride and I was really very reluctant to go for it.  However, to my disadvantage, there was no queue here and little time for me to react.  Hubby hurried me to get into the seat for the ride.  We deposited our bags and belongings at the "Treasure Chests" which were located next ot the ride.
My heart was pumping very fast as I was really scared of the roller coaster ride.  :(
Here comes the Dragon Ride!!!!!
As we slowly moved into the tunnel, I clasped tightly to the handle.
Once we left the tunnel, I started to scream my lungs out and I didn't dare to even open my eyes!
Hubby regretted not getting the photo of us during the ride.  He was amused by my expression in the photo.
 :(
Do you love roller coaster rides?

Legoland Malaysia (Part I)

I bought the admission tickets to Legoland from deal.com.sg at $39.90 each.  We didn't get the tickets that included coach transfer because hubby decided that we should self-drive there.  We reached our destination at around 10am.
Before we entered Legoland, we decided to have our brunch at the Mall of Medini, which is situated right at the entrance of Legoland.  From reviews, most of the food at the theme park were overpriced and we felt we should have more options at the mall.
You will find many familiar names here such as Secret Recipe, Old Town White Coffee, Shilin etc.

We settled at El Migos since we had not tried this restaurant before.

 Mushroom soup was so-so...
 Hubby ordered spaghetti and steak.
I got a shock when my main dish (It was supposed to be a starter platter for many to share) was served.  It was a huge serving with lots of mushroom (although I love mushroom but this was really too much!).  It looked really different from the photo in the menu and we didn't manage to finish up this dish.

Finally, around 11am after a heavy brunch, we were ready to enter Legoland!

We did some "sight-seeing" first before joining the queues for the rides and 4D movie.

Look at the facial expression of the lego-man... So funny!

The lego-instruments are not just decorative.  Each of them has a sensor and thus, when you walk past a particular instrument, that instrument will start playing music.

The legoland mascot!!!  I wanted to take a photo with the mascot but some people cut my queue.  I got fed-up and decided not to queue.
I will blog about my little adventure on the Dragon ride as well as MiniLand in my next post!  Stay tuned!
